when you visit unfeatured.net it used to link here http://unfeatured.net/index.php (home page) but now it opens the search page. how can I make t that instead of the search page unfeatured.net will show index.php instead of search.php

If there's a .htaccess file present, check if a DirectoryIndex directive is serving the search.php file by default.

Other than that, maybe have a look in SocialEngine's administration to see if there is a setting there causing it to do that.
