Help with filezilla

this is my first time using filezilla and i dont know how to set it up with my account
i made a ftp account and it gave me all the info i think..

the questions filezilla asks is
server address
port
and administration password

i put in the info from the thing i got back from setting up ftp.
using info from:

• Password:
• FTP Server:
• FTP Server Port:
  

but i get this message

Protocol error: Unknown protocol identifier (0x50 0x50 0x4. Most likely connected to the wrong port.
Connection to server closed.

what do i do ?
i already tried a diff port but it still didnt work

My FileZilla works just fine.

I copied my domain address to "Host", copied my username (Username, not forum name) to "User name" and typed my password. I left "Port" empty.

Only problem is my website still not working??

I deleted everything **** I could with FileZilla (only "www"-folder couldn't be deleted), re-created "public_html" and uploaded my website there.

I still get "Welcome to your new x10hosting account!"-page when entering to my website. What's wrong?

Website started working.

Now the problem is my photos aren't working. Huh?
