Go to the site and sign up for an account. Instructions are simple. I use this on my router and have noticed a lil bit faster load time.

DNS stands for Domain Name System. DNS is what allows you to type in a web address and end up at a website; DNS is transparent and yet fundamental to the operation of the Internet. There are two sides to DNS, the authoritative side which give out answers and the recursive side that ask questions on your behalf and holds onto them in case you ask again.

I think it is worth your time to take a look at the site and to see what they offer. It is free and you dont have to download anything. It has a lot of cool features also. All you have to do is sign up and use their DNS address. That is it! Any questions and I will try to assist just pm me!

OpenDNS is widely trusted, so nothing bad will happen. Also, don't forget, there are other factors to faster surfing than DNS as well. Once a DNS lookup is done, it won't need to do it again.

Also, another good thing to do is to set up your own DNS caching system. I've done this and at times when my ISP's DNS servers are down for work which is rare, it serves as a nice backup.
