Thumbs up Great Site for Learning HTML, et. al

    http://www.w3schools.com/default.asp

The thing i like about this site is that it gives you working examples to demonstrate what the HTML code does and to show you the results of modifying the code. You can change the code any way you want and then view the effects immediately. When satisfied, you can copy the code and then paste it into your own HTML editor program.

Does anyone have any other websites to recommend for learning HTML and other website development programming?

Hmm, yes, it is THE place to go. At least for web standards.
Don't go looking for browser specific things there (eg ActiveX) or proprietary methods.

PHP.net. it's my go-to resource for any php commands and the correct usage. say you're looking for proper syntax for str_replace... you would just do http://www.php.net/str_replace and voila, you're there :D
