Moving all my current data to VPS

    Hi all!
I'm very interested in buying a VPS on x10vps, but i have some questions.
I have some data in my current x10 account and my goal of having a VPS is having those files there. So here are my questions:

    a) Can I create there a server, made on.. i.e. Apache, configure every domain again (mail, dns, subdomains, etc...)so there's not limitation on subdomain count or e-mail accounts?

    b) Is there a FTP server by default, where I can see all my /home/ ?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

If you're not familiar with system management I would suggest getting cPanel with your VPS, we could then migrate your account for you but support would stop there for it unless you get management also.

You can install any service you'd like onto your VPS, including web servers (Apache, lighttpd, nginx, etc.) and FTP servers (proftpd, vsftpd, etc.). The only limitations imposed upon those services are the overall CPU and memory use quotas held against your VPS as a whole, along with any kernel-level configuration options (TCP connection limits, etc.).
I've written a couple articles on automatic application of AlphaImageLoader in IE6 using nothing but IE6-specific CSS rules.

When I got my VPS I was very confused about how to work it, since I was just put in front of a command line with no idea how to install everything. But then I installed Kloxo and it handled all the installation (PHP, MySQL, Mail, etc) for me. I highly recommend installing Kloxo to anybody who is new to VPS and wants a jump start on their VPS.
