My account is suspended! How do I unsuspend it?

There are a variety of reasons that a free web hosting account may be suspended. In the majority of cases an unsuspension is quick and painless, with the only exception being a severe free hosting Terms of Service violation.

We immediately notify you of hosting suspensions and unsuspensions by email and a notice while visiting your website. We recommend that you do not use your free web hosting for your contact email inbox, since you could be locked out if the account is suspended.

What Should I Do?

If you've been suspended please sign-in to your free hosting account via our website. You'll be able to review the reason for suspension here. In most cases it is possible for you to unsuspend yourself immediately. If this is the case an unsuspend button will be presented to you upon sign-in.

Note: It is imperative that you work to resolve a suspension promptly. Accounts suspended for longer than 21 days are automatically removed from our servers. Account data from removed accounts is irrecoverable.

Inactivity Suspension

We require that you sign-in to your free web hosting account at least once every 30 days. This requirement prevents abandoned websites from sitting unused for lengthy periods of time. Inactivity suspensions may be removed immediately upon sign-in through the unsuspend prompt. No further action is required. An unsuspension will take only a moment of time in normal circumstances. If your account is not unsuspended within a few minutes please let us know on our community forums.

We send multiple warning emails in the days leading up to an inactivity suspension. These notices are sent to your contact email address. Please ensure this is always valid for this reason.

Other Reasons

Some account suspensions imposed will not provide you with the unsuspend prompt. In this case we instead provide a form to file an appeal. An approved appeal immediately removes the account suspension.

Appeals are usually responded to within a few hours. However, in some cases we may take up to 48 hours to reply. We may respond to your appeal with questions, so please check back often.

Submitting an Appeal

We prefer to remove account suspensions for legitimate users who have made an honest mistake.

If you've broken a rule that you didn't realize, please review our Terms of Service and let us know how you'll prevent it from happening again. We understand that mistakes happen and we'll try to give you the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately in some severe cases it may not be possible for us to reinstate your account. An honest mistake does not imply a permanent suspension.

Decisions are final, so it is important that you provide as much information as possible while communicating in your appeal. This allows us to make a better informed decision.

Here are some suggestions for your appeal. In most cases appeals that follow these suggestions are approved.

  • Always be honest. Dishonesty will affect the outcome of your appeal. We have extensive logs of all account activity!
  • Explain your use of your free hosting account clearly and why you believe you were suspended.
  • Review our free hosting Terms of Service to understand our rules. State you've done this in your appeal.
  • Assume the reviewer is completely uninformed - Provide as much information as possible.
Show that you care about your account by submitting a well-thought-out appeal. This will give you a much higher chance of success. It is not in our interests to approve a user's appeal who is going to immediately return to breaking rules.

Note: Offering or suggesting payment in any way will not help your suspension appeal. We absolutely do not suspend accounts to generate revenue or to force upgrades.
