Name's Skizzerz on the forums and IRC. I'm the maintainer of this wiki (have access to the filesystem) and am a Contributor on the forums, so feel free to poke me if you need support with the wiki or otherwise.

I'm still working on the theme for the site, so please be patient while I work out the kinks. Leave a message on my talk page or on IRC if you find something that needs fixing.

Deletion template

To delete your free hosting account, please copy/paste the following in a reply to this thread and fill in the required information (boldface and in red for your convenience). Please note that we cannot delete forum accounts, only hosting accounts.

500 ISE

Hello,

500 Internal Server Errors are caused by errors on your account that you can easily fix once you figure out what the error is. The common causes for 500 Internal Server Errors are below:
1. Permissions. Files [b]MUST[/b] be 0644 and folders [b]MUST[/b] be 0755. The public_html folder [b]MUST[/b] be 0750.
2. Not specifying a RewriteBase when using RewriteRules in .htaccess.
3. Trying to use php_flag or php_value in .htaccess.

Unfortunately serious violations of our Terms of Service, which you agreed to upon signup, are coined "Zero Tolerance" meaning that we do not give out second chances. Your suspension falls under this category, which means that your account will remain suspended and you cannot regain any form of access to your account, its databases, and its files per sections 6 and 8 of our Terms of Service. Your account will be automatically deleted in 14 days' time, perhaps longer.

You do not have a hosting account currently tied to your forum account. We have a policy in place where if you do not log into the forums once every 31 days your account gets suspended for inactivity. Any accounts that are suspended for longer than 14 days are automatically deleted in order to free up space for the people who use their accounts. Unfortunately, it appears that you may have fell victim to what I described above and your account was deleted. I can verify this if you can remember what your cpanel username was and post it in a reply (as you might just be logging in from the wrong forum account).

Wordpress is a notorious CPU hog, to alleviate some of the stress on the system, it is highly recommended that you install the WP-SuperCache plugin, and also disable any other plugins (especially Sitemap plugins!) that you don't need (Askimet is fine, and you should leave that enabled to prevent spam).

Country block

Hello,

We recently implemented login blocks on FTP and cPanel from countries that have been blocked from signing up. Unfortunately there is no way to bypass this restriction at this time, cPanel logins from users with accounts created before the block should still work, but implementing a similar policy for FTP logins would be difficult if not impossible.
