Sooo, I'm 16 so I can't get a job, because it's illegal in Sweden for those under 18 to have a real job.

My 1 year old computer is soon dead, because it BSoDs all the time (~4 times/day). So I need to start to save money for a new one.

I don't care if it takes 2 - 3 years to get money enough for a new comp, but if I never start saving I never get a new computer.

In Sweden, those under 18 is only allowed to work with selling newspaper, handing out commercials, and mcDonalds.

Newspapers doesen't work, I tried, made $50 in 1 year and a half.
My parents doesen't allow me to hand out commercials, for unknown reason.
And mcDonalds, I wont do that since I hate talking with people, and I can't remember things, and can't concentrate when doing boring stuff.

So any ideas on other ways?

I tried PTC's, too slow and time consuming,
Google adSense for my site, $30 in a year
ProjectWonderful, $2 in 2 months

I am also trying to set up a template store, but I belive that it is kinda against the law, atleast swedish laws, for those under 18 to open a store.

So is there any way left of getting money?

I'm not aware of Swedish laws, but I don't think that starting a template "company" would be against the rules. It's kind of like mowing the lawn for some one.. you create templates for them and they pay you. This would just be via paypal or whatever else you use..

Underage people are not allowed to handle money online. Not buy, and then probably not sell.

I talked with my bank about this why I am not allowed to handle money online, they said it is a too big fraud risk, and it is therefore it's illegal.

I remember when I was younger, and wanted to make money, running my own business, I have always wanted to do that but my age limited what I can do. Like in sweden, I was not able to start a company at my age in the USA....I wanted to run my own online store, and even did so, running a cafepress store that made my own logoed/branded apprall, but 10$ a month is not enough.

A guy in the USA, was 16 years old when he made his first MILLION dollars in the USA, that was before the labor laws...sure wish I was able to do what he did when he was younger....he went to jail for selling products the FDA did not approve of, and got out 1 week later, and has returned to jail not once but many times. Kevin Trudea, (not sure if I spealt the name correctly), started his own mail order business.

In the USA you have to be 18 to own a home, this really s**** it's called Tax Sales, specifically tax lien sales, where you earn 18% of what you invest by the gov in 2 months or tax deed sales, where you get the guys home if he doesn't pay you 18% of what you invested to pay the guys taxes.....guess when I owned my own home?....$ 4,500.00 USD all cas bought, no mortgage, or anything was needed to be paid, just taxes of $ 1,200.00 age 21. Read up on this, and when you do get older, feel free to try to come to the USA, and buy yourself a home. There are limits to what your age sets for you in a specific country, and that really holds a lot of people down.

But.....(this is the illegal stuff you can do).....get your parents to make a paypal account, and have them verify it with their bank account. There you go, not everything you do online that would bring you money, just change the your name and your last name part, to your mothers or fathers name....do things under their name, and your set. What a person needs is ambition to make money, a persons age does limit how they make it, but if you're smart, nothing can hold you back.

------
When I get older, i think i'm still too young for this but, in a couple of years...I will look into a business, that people under 18, work in no not a cashier or something like that. Something bigger....bringing in sales commission for their own pockets, bringing in a wide scale of referrals for their own pockets....having secretarial positions, having board positions. This business will be like no other, and run by no one over 18, (except for myself)...we will not hire anyone over 18 to do anything, (the taxes on the business, the name branding or anything)...this business would also only be open and running after school hours, 4PM to 10PM and the money these underage people are going to make is so much greater then what everyone else their age might be making....will take time, but that is my next (taking action to do it) business idea.

---------
You wanted to make money...not sure if you said just online, but I have someone for you, if it were not just online....I know 1 place already exists like this, there is a car wash, with about 300 workers, this workers are all, girls but with nothing on....(now you may not be able to this)...but you can do this.....pick a nice place where there is a lot of traffic.....get yourself about 10 girls in bikini's to start washing cars by hand......thing is, guys don't go to wash their cars but to watch the ones washing their cars....a guy who does the nothing on thing, (I think the car wash is in germany....makes 1 MILLION Euros in about 1 week).

You don't need a license to do this....just do it, find a site, get yourself some friends and start making money...make sure you have a friend or two that are big or tuff in a way, you would need protection for these girls of yours to be doing what their doing safely....just something else you could do if you like....

I made an PayPal account with my mom and verified it.

Then I should buy something with it on the flyff site, but it got denied for account missmatch (wrong first name).

So I made an paypal in my name too, transfered money to it, remembered the fee so I needed to transfer some more, bought the item and transfered back the remaining money to my mom's account. 3 hours later I get a call from PayPals fraud section, they thought I frauded my mom. And they weren't really glad about it, but they left both accounts running anyway.

I am hoping to get the store up by friday.

Why not start a website! You get enough traffic from google, yahoo, live, etc. and PRESTO, you start converting that traffic to cash through ads and what not on your site. That's what I'm doing, and so far, it really pays off. Note though, that this takes WORK, you need to be able to put at leas an hour a week into this for the first couple of months. It also takes TIME. Once your site is up long enough, the search engines will send you more traffic for no other reason than that you have been up longer than your competitors.

If you want to do that, I can get you started. But it takes commitment as it really is starting your own business.

I earned $30 on adsense in a year

That's not really a lot though is it?
You're obviously expecting big overnight, unfortunately that's not how it works. Like the person above your post said it takes time. I know someone, personally, who earns enough of it monthly/yearly to not have to have an ordinary job anymore. It took him a bit of time to get there but he sure was happy that he could give his job up. He had to do A LOT of reading, website tweaking. He opened a few websites up where he thought he could make a ££ or two and went for it. Some sites didn't take off as well as he'd have liked but he left them open.

EFFORT PAYS.

Yeh, but a computer for an example costs around $1200. $1200 / 30 = 40 years.

I can't wait 40 years for a new computer ;)

Well what if you worked with another person? The other person would directly handle the money and then they would send you half of it as a "birthday present" or something of that sort?

The wisest people in the world, don't trust anyone. But only act like they do, to gain something....

I think you should take that quote of mine (that I just made up...it's pretty good huh?) and act like you trust someone only until you gain what you want. ...if this makes sense....makes sense to me at least.

Haha well then that might cause some difficulty in the future. =p

Do you have any close friends who are 18 or older that would be willing to help you out? Or do you not trust them either?

You could even find a reliable member on the forum. I know that it's tough trusting people, but it's always worth a shot.

You can't expect instant wonders with making money online no matter what you try to do. I can promise you that unless you do get extremely lucky. How serious do you think some of these laws are. I know they're laws and things but in a way, not that I practise these, they're there to be broken.

So what if you're not 18 yet. I'm not sure on your age - think you may have mentioned it in your first post - but Adsense says you have to be 18 I believe to enrol in the programme.
*Went and searched it up*
Yes I was right...

By enrolling in the Program, You represent that You are at least 18 years of age and agree that Google may serve (a) third party and/or Google provided advertisements and/or other content (such third party provided advertisements,
https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms

So oops, you've already broken one rule. What you going to do about that?

One tip though, if you go down the website route to make money, do not start your site off filled with ads. Turns people away, that's not what they want to see. By all means keep a space available for them for the near future and add them subtly (not quite sure that's really a word?) over time.

Good luck, my work here is done now. Just goes to show how much you really want money though. Perhaps not enough. I don't know.

You're missing the point. The point that I'm trying to make is that on your first year, you'll do well if you make $30 dollars, but on your second year you'll make more. I know someone who has had his site up for just about 2 years now and he is already making a few hundred a year through google adsense and affiliate links like refering people to amazon and stuff like that.

It's work and time, but as time goes on the earnings will increase. If you put the neccessary work into it, you will not always get just $30 in a year!
