My site works, but is incredibly slow. xD Server load is over 19.5 x_O with 4 processors.. um... Maybe this server has too many people on it? xD

Admins say it should be back up, and server stats look good... but now I'm getting 500 Internal Server Errors. XDD
Edit:
Now I'm seeing raw php files in the cpanel (under things like backups, and fantastico), and it says I'm using 0/3 MySQL databases when I had a working joomla config up yesterday. I guess I better go find a paysite.

It must be HDD corruption, or they've turned it off.

I think the CPanel is on a seperate HDD.

Just guessing, though.

Freehostia's servers did the same thing not that long ago (a year or two :D).

Just probe Apache and restart the HTTP and PHP modules.

Might be a hundred different things, just guessing...

My website is also showing 500 Internal Server Error... I can't even login to cPanel... It's strange because when i put the wrong password it gives me the invalid account error but with the right one, it simply does nothing...

Well, there's nothing to do except to wait and see if it starts working again, so i can get back to test my php scipts... :dunno:

A few minutes ago, my site on LOTUS came back up (slowly) but seemed to be ok... then a few minutes later...gone again (error 500). I can access the cPanel, and it shows the server status as being ok, (high memory usage though) but I no longer have a SQL datbase????
Any input, or does this mean I should create a support ticket? (to be answered by staff or admin please)
I'll wait some more...to see what happens... but from the very brief glimpse of my site, no one has been on it but me, and the last visitor was around 10 hours ago.... very strange for usually not going more than an hour without someone logging on.
Even weird-er is that my sigs still seems to work,... or did... (it's stored on my site) usually it goes out when my site/server goes down.

Yeah your site's down. I can't see your sig. Only reason you might be able to is because it's probably in your cache. So we're experiencing 500 server errors on all dynamic sites. Anyone send in a ticket? Obviously admin knows about this, GamingX reports here that it was fixed (and it was, for about ten minutes).
The unofficial status page is reporting HTTP is down again. I still can't get Cpanel.

Hi terminussystems,
I suggest you clear cookies.

I have no problem here with logging into cPanel.

Sometimes when the server is not functioning correctly it blips out and generates completely new session IDs with the reboot.

Try to clear the cookies for the cPanel website.

It will work as it is here.

I noticed this myself on my other browser, but all is fine.

If you're already logged into the server, this shouldn't affect you whatsoever.

I just wanted to say I spotted some Malware in the advertisments of another member's website last week.

I believe the fact that Malware is being used is why the server is running much slower.

Because of the resources such scripts take up.

This, I don't believe is any members' fault, just the advertisment vendors chosen by some members by accident.

This could be why x10hosting is experiencing slow serving from time to time.

If you parse a HTML page, the error does not occur always.

The error seems to be caused at the Apache server (possibly overloaded by DoS), and it's feeling strain to communicate with the modules (hence 500 error). Then it has to send back the 500 error, and if the traffic is also overloaded, a Network Timeout occurs.

If x10's system administrators probe Apache, and then restart the whole server, any DoS will be cut off.

This should be repeated until the server comes online.

If a DDoS is occuring, x10 should look in their logs for source, and block the incoming IP from gaining access.

It could be something different.

But if any admin is listening, please try probing the server, if not back-up as much as you can, and obtain a new IP from x10's ISP provider, if possible.

This will not be good for reputation, however, sorting it out ASAP may help many of the users here.

Regards,
Jim

Lol this is my second day with x10. Yesterday was great, I was considering upgrading... unfortunately I can't say the same about today. :rant2:

could it be a server restart?

No, the name servers shouldn't forward half of the X_Powered_By header if the server is restarting at this current moment.

It's just the server's slow.

The reason why a lot of the data is stripped from the cPanel is because MySQL, the file server (sub-domain records are stored there, too).

The mail server appears to be on.
And so does the cPanel, obviously.

The internal server's name server software may also be offline.

I'm guessing some parts of the HDD are corrupt/offline

The whole Lotus server is slow at the moment.

I think they're trying to restart it subsequently, or it's crashing itself.

This could be to do with a hard ware short-circuit.

May be the HDD medium has blown for that part of the server?

High traffic occurs often anyway, a seperate problem, unless the cause is what I mentioned before.

Regards,
James

I wish the admins would post more update under the service announcements board.
