I am running a website which will have videos. I use Joomla 2.5 with a video player extension. Whenever I try to upload a video, it takes a while and refreshes the page like nothing happened. Is video uploading allowed?

I can add videos via FTP but I'd rather upload videos straight from my administration panel.

Hello erydamus,

We do allow personal video galleries assuming they are related to the site, but the total size of all the video files must not exceed 1GB.

The page is probably simply refreshing because it hit one of the PHP limits defined in the server configuration. Please see this page (click here) for a full list of features, specifically the "max upload" variable. Due to the general size of video files, it may not be possible to upload videos using PHP on the free hosting service.

Thank you,

one question, the video reproduction in time would affect the bandwidth limit is given as allowed? ... as it would be seen by many users possibly.
From bandwidth affect some possible solutions ...

Thanks x10 ....

One way around this is to put your videos on YouTube and embed them into your x10 web page.

I don't understand... For free hosting, it says max upload is 16MB. My video is only 3.05MB with a duration of 55 seconds. It wont let me upload it in my Joomla admin panel. I can upload it via FTP but I can't get it to play in my player that way. I've tried even with Boonex Dolphin and it wont let me upload it in there either. With Dolphin, it says Video upload failed (Video error).
