Hi everyone, i'm having some problems with my blog. Site returns a 403 forbidden error (for every directory in the server), and also an another forbidden with a ErrorDocument catch.
I've tried ftp, but an usual ls times out. I've tried to create another .htaccess in public_html, but i get back every time the same error.

Here's the site: http://road2computerscience.x10host.com

What can i do to fix it? Any help is really appreciated (also sorry for my bad english)

Hello, I'm also dealing with a constant 403 Forbidden. I even dropped the site I had installed and installed another site using Softaculous, still no good. I did check my permissions in the file manager and they are set to 755 which means they should be executable. A little assistance would be nice.

Hi,

I'm sorry for the delay here. We performed some maintenance on free hosting accounts previously, to improve the way in which websites are stored. It looks like your account hadn't fully switched back after the maintenance period. This should now be fixed, and your website is now working properly. ;)

Thank you,

Sorry for the bump but I seem to have a similar issue. When I try to access my site, it greets me with a 403 error page but only me, others can access the site just as usual.

Files should be set to 644 and directories to 755. PHP files only ever need to be readable by the world, since it's the PHP runtime that executes. Directories need to be executable because... well, that's the way the file system works for some unreasonable reason somebody thought was a good idea a few decades back. If files are set to executable (755), you will get a 403 since that represents a significant vulnerability.

i am having this same issue. but no one cares about that we are having these issues and it's on there end. its there mod_security. either whitelist all your clients site or remove it. or its gonna continue this issue. its blocking urls. wordpress depends highly on urls.

i can tell you right now its mod_security. its giving you that due to a url.

i am having this issue. yet only one staff member answers and hasn't replied for a few days. this issue is a ongoing issue.

If this is only happening to you, this indicates that the server is blocking your request because you are connecting from an IP address that has performed suspicious actions in the past. While this system is very good for protecting sites against some bad users, unfortunately it can hit legitimate people if you share a connection. Are you on a proxy, VPN, or perhaps a mobile network at the moment? :)

i can tell you right now its mod_security. its giving you that due to a url.
Mod Security had nothing to do with this. I have responded to your thread, which is a separate issue. ;)

Thank you,
