the 503 Service Unavailable seems to be a Wordpress issue. My (html only) site loads just fine, but the two Wordpress blogs (that still need fleshing out) get the 503 error.
I think there is quite a few different people having 503 errors ! It’s been ongoing for so long and no response from admins as to why these errors keep appearing ! It’s bad

applied an update to one of the WP blogs, the other one is automatically updated. no change, still get 503.
I dont know if WP server got trashed, overloaded? or what.
In one thread about this error, it was posted that their memory was maxed out, whereas my virtual (and physical) memory is almost nil. So memory isnt the problem.
Over the years, admins have been slower and slower to respond to free users, which is understandable since the number of paid users has risen: they get priority.
The rule of TANSTAAFL still applies!!

Something is wrong with WP itself: I cant even get to the admin page of either of my WP sites.
Hopefully this gives the admins a clue to start troubleshooting with.

Unfortunately that’s usually how it works ! I left x10 as I was sick of the constant mess ups and servers constantly not working ! As for the paid service it doesn’t even come in the top 10 for shared hosting !

They are obviously having a major rethink and hopefully whatever action they come up with it lasts longer than normal before something breaks

It is not just wordpress.
And because they have removed the status page we have no live track as to what is going on. Xo7 seems to be ok logged into cPanel via the landing page all seems normal ! I would try my site but it’s already been migrated to another host so I know it’s working ?

My site (and subdomains) are also down. I too am getting the 503 error on these sites. This doesn't seem to be only WordPress related as I have a custom PHP site, doku wiki, PrestaShop site and two get-simple CMS sites. My Cpanel seems to be working fine. I have tried changing PHP versions to see if it was somehow related, but that didn't work. I haven't tried turning on and off certain PHP libraries to see if one of those is the culprit...

Looks like it's mostly PHP related to me as well.
WordPress is the only thing I use and I've done a re-install and it's still throwing me the 503 error still.

But if I uninstall it, I get the directory list just fine.

Welp, time to switch to not using WordPress, not a big deal for me as my website is static for the most part but it's gonna suck for a lot of people until x10 Support figures out what's going on. It's irritating but the lack of responses on this issue is kind of expected since this is free hosting.

Well my site and files don’t exist anymore as I’ve purposely let it expire ! Far better free hosting providers out there to use ! Just because a system is offered free it doesn’t mean it has to be broken all the time. I’ve gone through over 10 years of x10 breaking things and losing things, especially the massive server migration they undertook about 10 years back ! The whole thing was a mess for months, good luck everyone your all going to need it . Http://richard-white-photography.ml

I'm also having problems with my sites www.theharveysplace.com and www.weloveeats.com. It's alternating between "Backend fetch failed," and "Service unavailable," with a successful page load every 10 to 20 tries. It's been like this for over 3 hours. It was the same yesterday morning, but cleared after 30 minutes. Clearing browser cache doesn't help. It almost seems like a denial of service attack, since some requests are getting through, but most aren't. I've been considering upgrading to a premium account, but if I can't trust the free account, I certainly don't feel safe throwing money at the issue and hoping it goes away?

Suddenly, my sites are back up. Let's see how long it stays that way.

And now they're back down again. Well, at least I got 7 minutes to apply and test some changes before it went back down again.
