I may note that those "cheap" VPS hosts generally do not have the right kind of specs to run a Minecraft server from. Minecraft servers are very resource intensive, and you may have a better time going with a dedicated Minecraft hosting service. Google is your friend. :)

Wish I had known a lot of this stuff earlier. This will help a lot with getting my VPSs migrated back to ArchLinux. :)
