PHP Extension "pdo_mysql" must be loaded (magento)

Yesterday 8 may at 8 pm, i finaly intall magento and it was working fine, but i had to uninstall it in order to upload the sample database first, an when i tried to reinstall it, i got the same error again.
i tougth the problem was fixed, but i dont know what happen.
Can you help me?

pdo_mysql hasn't been recompiled yet.
Bryon (The Developmen Team leader) hasn't been able to connect lately because he's really busy with school.
It will be compiled as soon as he has some time to connect. Please be patient.

so, i dont know why yesterday i could install it. I think because o this mesage on my hosting account information from corey:

Do you know when can we espect pdo_mysql to be recompiled?
and if this issue is fixed. is it permanent?
I would like to know this in order to evaluate if i can use magento as my e-commerce shop.

It's rare that you could install it yesterday, as it was not compiled. I'm not really sure when Bryon will have time to do it.
When it's compiled it won't be removed. So yes, it will be permanent.
