What I can't understand is why the support team is completely ignoring these issues. So many people complaining about the exact same thing, and nothing, zero, nada from a single supports staffer or company representative. They respond to every question asked, EXCEPT the big one that we're all asking.

What can we do to access our sites and C-Panels?

How can you have this many people asking the exact same question, and say nothing? Not a word. Not even "we hear you, we don't know what it is, but we're working on it." We don't expect miracles, but a single simple acknowledgement of our problems would go a long way, don't you think.

I've heard the "free hosting- you get what you pay for" comments, but frankly- to ignore this many complaints regarding the exact same problem is a terrible way to earn the respect of your customers, both present and future.

I reported my website does not work and cPanel has no access on the level server.
The site and server are working fine now.

It appears this may have been a network problem, or possibly something wrong at the server farm.

Great news, jplayer. Unfortunately, the rest of us can't share in your joy, as we are still stuck with no access, and no responses whatsoever from x10 support.

I've reported my site 10 ways to Sunday (which is on the absolut server- the source of these problems, I believe), and can't even get an acknowledgement that they have received my complaint.

Apparently there was a problem which require the databases be restored on three free servers. It appears the staff is in the process of restoring and adding our names to the database so we can access the cPanel.

One of the site workers asked to click on the support button at the top menu to list your website so they will know to add you without checking through all the databases to find you.
Read this thread for all the details: http://x10hosting.com/forums/free-hosting/181100-last-time-i-need-my-site-back-up.html

The place to list your website is in the support area here: http://x10hosting.com/forums/suppor...-cant-access-your-site-or-c-panel-click-here/

It is my understanding that the people who list their website at this link will be taken care of first to get back online.

Best wishes,

The problem is NOT at x10Hosting's end. I don't know what it's going to take to convince you of that. I'm in Canada; others who have answered here and in other threads are in the US. Try doing a trace route to your site to see where it fails.

If you're running Windows, open a command prompt -- it'll be in Accessories -- and type tracert <your url here>. Don't use the "http://" part, just "tracert bigam.x10.mx" and hit Return. Something between you and the x10 servers is stopping your request, and there's no way to find out what it might be from this end.

Thanks, eseller. Obviously frustrated, I appreciate your response. You're right. It makes 6 hops (past my ISP) and times out on the 7th. The last IP before timeout is 12.81.16.15

What can I do, if anything?

Sorry, I can't tell you anything at this point. I did an IP lookup of 12.81.16.15, and apart from the fact that it's in the US (which would probably explain things), I can't find out anything else -- there's no host name, whois info, etc., publicly available. It's hosted on AT&T services, but there's no indication that AT&T actually owns it.

The best I can do is to suggest creating a support item including all of the information gathered (including the fact that the site is reachable by people outside of your region). The actual support staff (Corey and company) may have some related previous incident that they can refer to to help resolve the situation (or at least help you formulate a strongly-worded rant or potentially even legal action against the responsible party). I wish I could help more than that. And I do understand your frustration -- it's hard not to blame the government for not being able to use the highway when some random wiseguy puts a locked gate on a bridge.

I did this and it said that it's unable to resolve target name. What does that mean?

It appears that there was a problem which made it necessary to restore some of the tables and database on the three free servers. From reading other threads, the x10 support is looking for people who cannot access their cPanel or their website is down to put their web address in a special support post where they can find your site at one place instead of these forum posts.

From what I can determine, they will restore your site first if they see your comment post there.
Read this thread for details: http://x10hosting.com/forums/free-hosting/181100-last-time-i-need-my-site-back-up.html

The place they look for your website address is in the comments here: http://x10hosting.com/forums/suppor...-cant-access-your-site-or-c-panel-click-here/

It appears there was a problem with the three free servers that made it necessary for x10 hosting to restore the tables and databases for many of the websites. In another thread, x10 support asked for people who have website problems or cPanel problems to post their website address in the support area so they could find them in a single place. It is my understanding they will restore the websites that they see posted in support first.

Read more details here: http://x10hosting.com/forums/free-hosting/181100-last-time-i-need-my-site-back-up.html

Post your website address to be fixed in the comments here:
http://x10hosting.com/forums/suppor...-cant-access-your-site-or-c-panel-click-here/

Or click on support button at the top menu bar, then scroll down until you see the post that says "if-you-cant-access-your-site-or-c-panel-click-here" to post your website.

I'm having problems too. My site is hosted on the Absolut server.

I can't access my site http://www.eatwhere.tk and Cpanel. It always returns a time out message for both.

But when I use my smartphone and my neighbour's wifi (a different ISP) I see my site.

I tried using Filezilla (FTP) to access my files. But it also returns a timed out error message. So there's no problem with the Absolut server?
