How do I load HTML file upon site access?

Hi. I just started here. How do I load an HTML file upon site access? When attempting to access the site, I get a directory listing of the site, and it doesn't load the wanted HTML file automatically. Please help. Thanks! The .html file says "Site under construction."

Try changing the name of the HTML file to "index.html" (without quotes)
