Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysqli_init()

Hi am currently using a CodeIgniter framework to my website, sadly i am having this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysqli_init() in /xxx/xxx/xxx/isp/system/database/drivers/mysqli/mysqli_driver.php on line 135

Can anyone help me how to solve this problem? I tried to search on the net but i can't find a solution.

cPanel --> Software and Services box --> Select PHP Version --> check boxes for "mysqli" and "pdo_mysql" --> click the [Save] button
