I'd like to use Elementor to edit my WP site. Is this possible with free hosting? If so, how can I get past the "loading" screen? Currently, every time I try to run Elementor, it just gets stuck at the loading screen forever. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Based on their requirements documentation, you may need to switch your PHP version to 7.0 or 7.1 (cPanel --> Software and Services box --> Select PHP Version) and increase the memory limit for WordPress. You can set this up to 128M.

Thank you for your help! I tried both 7.0 and 7.1 and added define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' ); at the bottom of my wp-config.php. Still can't get past the loading screen. I believe Elementor makes outgoing connections. Does that have something to do with this issue? Maybe free hosting does not allow plugins to make outgoing connections?

If they use nonstandard ports, that could be a problem as the firewall is locked pretty tightly on free hosting.
