Logging into the ...x10host/wordpress Log In link from your Blog, but cannot login

I'm stuck with a logging in and my password is correct. I can log into cPanel, but not the blog I setup within cPanel.

I have created a blog using Wordpress via the x10 cPanel interface, easy, point and click setup.
Now I want to make a blog post:

at the bottom right of my blog, I click
Log In, and goes to:
http://bassdiamonds.elementfx.com/wp/wp-login.php
I see:
Username or Email Address and password fields and even the Wordpress logo

I keep getting:
ERROR: Invalid username. Lost your password?

I have already tried resetting, by clicking forget my password.
I have tried my username for x10, this also fails (username I tried and email).
Within the x10 cPanel site, I cannot find any other Blog editor login screen.
I am not trying to do anything admin related. For example, I am able to change themes, using the x10 cPanel portal.
Strange, but when I log out and logon to x10, to make sure my x10 password is good, it only seems to work by using username, for example 'mikeusername', and using full email, someusername@bassdiamonds.elementfx.com fails. And in the above steps, somehow the username field is autopopulated with someusername@bassdiamonds.elementfx.com. And, I've tried different alias on bassdiamonds.elementfx.com.
I have also tried my original email account I used to setup x10, this fails too.
any suggestions?
