Why Won't DNS Update?

I have moved my site to a paid hosting server. After a day I cannot get it to resolve to the new host... even though it is using new DNS.

Do I have to delete this account first to get it to show up on the new host?

As long as you switched your domain to use only the new hosting companys nameservers (and properly added it to the new host) it will need no further adjustments on your part.
Old data is often cached in a bunch of places around internet, at worst it can take as much as 72 hours before it is functioning properly, it is the nature of dns. New information about the IP for said domain needs to be spread to all dns servers.
