I have had the site amp.x10host.com for over a year. When I try to open my home page it comes up with someone else's page. It looks like they just uploaded stuff 2 days earlier. Can they just give away your site? My upload links still go to the same place with all of my files in there, I just don't get routed there when typing my url into a browser???

Better check your account cpanel password and ftp password, someone hack into your account. or better check your site for any exploit.

when i tried your address you provided i get an index of page,
it lists 1 folder called AmpPortfolio/ 2019-12-07 18:09
there is no homepage unless you open the folder.

Sites are not "given away" they are deleted after you have been suspended for a time.
if you believe your site is compromised, but can still log in to cpanel,
id suggest changing your password.

as cjptomas80 suggested you should check for any exploits/file issues and maybe
upload the files you have and replace ones that were updated if you did not do it.

yes that is what comes up. It should go to my index page which is not ampportfolio. It should just go to my index.html which is a calendar. ??

if you can access the main login with your current username and password,
(helps to prove it is your account) open cpanel and change your passwords.
in case you were hacked, that would prevent someone else getting into your account.

changing account usernames is harder since it effects your account,
and i believe only x10hosting could do that anyway.
but you should be able to change your cpanel/account password,
also change any ftp passwords if you added any others.

also if those are NOT your files id suggest deleting them.
do not use them if they dont belong to you.
for multiple reasons from possible infection to other copyright issues.
delete the files and then upload the files you do have and start over.

if those are your files id still suggest removing them if someone else
tampered tampered with your site/files.
