Resolved I cannot access my emails, for some months now.

Windows.live has no trouble with various other email addresses. There are a few emails there. I have tried redoing passwords but no effect

Could you provide more information? Where are you checking your mail? Using DirectAdmin? Using software on your computer? Forwarding?

The emails were picked up by Windows Live Mail, together with various other addresses.
Emails to nanda@rms1939.x10.mx stopped being picked up at the change from ControlPanel to DirectAdmin.
Originally I could actually see the email addresses but now I cannot find them in DirectAdmin.

"Unable to send or receive messages for the mx Nanda account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems or a long period of inactivity.

Server: 'xo2.x10hosting.com'

Port: 995"

have you tried with the pop as 110 instead of 995 ?
my x10 email works fine using 110 instead.

whether or not this is related to free x10 accounts
not allowing SSL/https anymore might be questionable.

Your server is not xo2 anymore. That server is gone.
