    Problem When Viewing my Website

Well, on one hand you advise waiting and stuff, on the other hand you get posts like that: http://forums.x10hosting.com/free-hosting/98525-cannot-change-file-permissions-chopin.html (I mean the third in the topic), looking like the thing was solved for one user and not the whole server, after...

    Problem When Viewing my Website

Yeah, but Chopin was never said to be moving anywhere (except for the upgrade) - so the servers merging doesn't really apply. FTPD/HDD on Chopin has been down for over 12 hours now. It wouldn't be bad to at least hear: 'Yeah, we know, we'll be working on that'.

Re: Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorD Same problem reported here: http://forums.x10hosting.com/free-hosting/98515-problem-when-viewing-my-website.html I'm missing that, even having read all the updates. Could you direct me to a post talking...

    Problem When Viewing my Website

I, for one, have been following all the news. They all lists servers that were affected by account moving and Chopin was NOT one of them. There was, in fact, no news posted about Chopin, especially about any work on the FTPD/HDD. Chopin was down when every server was going through update, but it...

    Problem When Viewing my Website

I guess nothing really. See for example that: http://chopin.x10hosting.com:2082/frontend/x3/ftp/accounts_pure-ftpd.html You can also open a support ticket.

You're hosted on Chopin? Seems like the files are missing or FTP daemon/HDD failing or some other serious problem.

    Update

OpenDNS, which I'm currently using for various reasons (mainly my ISP failing hardly at the uptime of their' DNS server), does not feature DNS flushing. Anyway, if it's just due to server's IP change, I don't mind it. I was afraid that something worse had happened (like for some reason I've lost...

    Update

Was there something changed with DNSes on Chopin? My co.cc domain is now showing me the default page of theirs. My DNS @ co.cc are pointing to ns1.x10hosting.com & ns2.x10hosting.com, and the last update was done on 27.05.09... It was working an hour ago! So, is it due to the update being rolled...

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

There are free hosts offering cPanel and that's a fact. X10Hosting may be the biggest of them, but it's not the only one. It takes a second to prove it by querying Free-Webhosts with "cPanel". And one thing I'd like to ask all those people saying they'd switch if there was no cPanel: what...

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

Well, if the account creation/deletion can't be queued and done once daily for everything, how about switching to DirectAdmin panel? It's not as good as cPanel IMO, but still a powerful panel for everything.

    Site wont load

This is due to Apache going down from time to time. Jump into IRC Chat and type "Fuzzy: status" to find out.

How to add a non-co.cc address to a co.cc-powered account?

No, turns out you're right. Chopin's Apache was down yesterday, but cPanel was up. Well, there might have been some info, but either it's gone now or I'm blind (which could be still possible, I tend to misread some words, I could have missed some info as well). While you're right about the...

    Ftp login

I'd say to double-check the username and password - just as the KB article tells you too, but it could also be the Chopin server having problems :/

How to add a non-co.cc address to a co.cc-powered account?

But if cPanel is down, then the whole server is down (and I'm not that sure that cPanel would be up if Apache is down). And if I can get into cPanel, I can visit the Server Status page (at http://your.cpanel.url:2082/frontend/x3/status.html with x3 skin)(Lol, Server Load 13.74 (4 cpus) ATM!)...

How to add a non-co.cc address to a co.cc-powered account?

I agree - to a point. It would not redirect me to anywhere (no matter what I'd have in the standard .htaccess) in case of using the subdomain on port 2082 (cPanel) - so that's a great way to check if the server is up or not. PS. Is there a way to check server's state...

How to add a non-co.cc address to a co.cc-powered account?

Well, yeah, I've used the .co.cc domain as a main one during registration (stupid me). I've just followed your advice and changed the 'main' url and just parked .co.cc in cPanel. Thanks a lot! Now I'll be able to see if it's just Chopin's problem or the .co.cc It's not a Wordpress' problem...

How to add a non-co.cc address to a co.cc-powered account?

I think it is due to .co.cc domain that my website hosted at x10hosting is unreachable, as FTP is working ok. Is there a way to access a website in a more direct way? Or is it Chopin server having issues for last two days?
