Can i use local mail server or remote server to send mail? For example sending activation mails for my users? Many hostings disable this feature because of abusing. i never intent to use it for illagal activity. would you help me how i can use mail in forum(phpbb)?

i have just created db and username. i getting this error when i am trying connect it. i set dbhost as localhost and used my username and password which i had manuelly created. what can be wrong?

i have added my own domain instead of subdomain and uploaded my files choosing my domain name. i wonder how it will be indexed by google. i want it to be my own domain name. but i see same files under both domain names as well as in ftp. how can i use my own domain in ftp?
