Hello Support
If I'm not mistaken, a few years ago it was not possible to secure a free site on X10Hosting.

I searched and found this link on the forum:https://x10hosting.com/community/threads/ssl-for-free-hosting.208529/

I have checked on my CPANEL and there seems to be some information, but unfortunately
I don't understand what choice I should make in this page.As I read a lot of request about this on the forum.

If I look in modify the domain it is check SSL Secure.

I would like to do the right thing to add a free certificate to my site. All without compromising my site and creating another resolution request for you.

Thank in advance

when i look at it i get this error in firefox...

blogvoyage.x10.mx uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for x12.x10hosting.com Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

is your server on x12 ?

maybe try regenerating a new certificate.
if you use cloudflare try disabling it while you use x10's certificate.
i may be wrong, but im uncertain if you can use both together properly.
but maybe garrettroyce or another staff member could check it.

Hello spacresx

In the past
During a migration a few years ago (2-3) someone from support moved my entire server to the new domain hierarchy.

If I remember correctly
All considering the old version of wordpress that I still use is version 3.4.2.
This explains the difference of server, I do not know.

In addition there is the following mention:
Let's Encrypt in use. Auto Renewal in 17 Days.
Certificate Expiry Apr 23 02:08:48 2021 GMT

So according to my understanding in 17 days ie Apr 23 02:08:48 2021 GMT.
The certificate will renew automatically.

Let's say that at this time emergencies are not as urgent as they once were.

So before making a false move
I will wait for the analysis of a member of the staff.

thank you for your help

First thing, you should never post certificate information to the internet. Hackers can use the information you posted to break the security of your SSL, making it useless. Consider this certificate to be invalid and delete it from everywhere you use it.

So, you should not use the upload option. Instead you should use Let's Encrypt. The upload option will eventually go out of date and since cPanel will not issue you a new one, it will eventually stop working anyway. Let's Encrypt will automatically register a new certificate once the old one expires. Please try this option and see what happens.

Sorry Garrett
1- I destroyed the screenshots and removed the information on my site, which I attached to my request?
2- I clicked on the disable SSL button
3- I tried to create a certificate as follows:Free & automatic certificate from Let's Encrypt

Result: Cannot Execute Your Requesttoo many new orders recently

4- So I clicked again on the disable SSL button - waiting to try later.

As for the settings I leave by default what already tick?
4096-bit and SHA256

Is this the right thing to do?Thank you for your answers

Yes, that is all good. There are still many users requesting SSL, so you may get the too many signups. That resets every 4 hours according to Let's Encrypt.

Hello Garrett
After 2 days of trying I finally secured my site for my needs.

This server uses a domain validated (DV) certificate.

As my site is mainly used with Wordpress,
Then a simple little extension to redirect the links on my photos to https: // is enough to correct my website.

Thank you to all your volunteers for your good advice and your patience. :)

Case resolved

Hello @garrettroyce, I have been doing my darnedest to research this exact issues for my site, but I'm seeing no options to enable the SSL. I have searched for SSL in the dashboard search bar, I see no place where I can initiate the Let's Encrypt option, and I'm hitting a dead end.

I'm on X12, and when I go to https://x12.x10hosting.com:2222/user/ssl it redirects me to just https://x12.x10hosting.com:2222/

Thank you and best regards,

you will need to start a new post a request to enable SSL instead of posting to an old post.
staff may not check this post since it was already solved.
