Can't access cPanel through proxy

Hello,

In order to connect to the internet at university I have to connect through a proxy. Usually this is fine, but I can't access cPanel on any browser (Chrome, FireFox or IE). I can log into the x10 hosting bit and access any other websites fine but once I try cPanel it says:

[h=1]This web page is not available[/h]The web page at https://starka.x10hosting.com:2083/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
Error 111 (net::ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED): Unknown error.

Is there any other way of connecting to cPanel or any other software than cPanel I can use? At the moment I'm not able to manage my site.

Hello,

The only way of accessing cPanel is via :2082 or :2083. I have the same problem when I connect though my workplace's proxy setup. Unfortunately there's no way around it, other than asking them to unblock ports. You can, however, upload files via FTP, but again you may still have an issue with port 21 from behind a proxy system.
