The following message pops up on my php script:

---
Warning: mail() has been disabled for security reasons in /backup/home/acgvne/public_html/php/kontaktformular-auswerten.php on line 30
---

I am aware that I need php version 2 (intermediate).

I requested it today and got the following confirmation email about 3 hours ago:

This email is being sent to let you know that your hosting account's version of PHP has been updated to version 2 successfully.

If you have any problems or issues with your account, please seek support on x10Hosting's support forums.
Is it usual that the function ()mail still isn't working properly?

Thanks in advance for your help!

greets Stefan:lockd:

it usually takes a while for your php version changes to take effect. Did you check this immediately after the email, or wait a few hours before checking?

EDIT: nevermind, I can't read. anyway, as Bryon said here:

Please wait at least twelve hours after you receive confirmation that your version has been upgraded before seeking support regarding PHP issues (Disabled functions, missing functionality, missing extensions)

It takes about 24 hours from the time you apply for the change for it to actually go into effect.
