FTP Issu eResponse: 421 Can't change directory to /var/ftp/ [/]

Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Just setting up Filezilla FTP client ... looks like all is connecting, even receive the "Welcome" message below ... but within a few seconds, the rest of the message pops up saying couldn't connect. Not sure what else to do??
