Are you accessing it through File manager in cPanel or using FTP? Either way, you'll have to enable the display of hidden files in order for the .htaccess file to show up in the results.

Try using 'File Manager' in cPanel and make sure 'Show Hidden Files (dotfiles).' is enabled.

reset the cPanel UI settings and set it so it shows hidden files.

Ok, we're going round in circles here, what is the URL of your site? If you try to access the .htaccess through HTTP, does it return a 404 error or does the file load / 403 error.

Edit: I found the URL in the first post

Edit 2: I can confirm that the .htaccess file is uploaded and in the correct directory: http://www.yarayk.com/vb/.htaccess

Edit 3: Try changing the contents of the file to:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^t(.*)\.html index.php?page=topic&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^f(.*)\.html index.php?page=forum&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^u(.*)\.html index.php?page=profile&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^p(.*)\.html index.php?page=print&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^archive(.*)\.html index.php?page=archive [L]
RewriteRule ^Af(.*)\.html index.php?page=forum_archive&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^At(.*)\.html index.php?page=topic_archive&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^search(.*)\.html index.php?page=search&index=1 [L]
RewriteRule ^t(.*) index.php?page=topic&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)\.html index.php?page=profile&show=1&username=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^sitemap\.xml index.php?page=sitemap&subject=1
RewriteRule ^sitemap(.*)\.htm index.php?page=sitemap&sitemaps=1 [L]

Try changing all the [L] to [R,L] . This will show you what it is doing in the browsers URL bar, so you can see where it is going wrong.

OK, try this one:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^t(.*)\.html vb/index.php?page=topic&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^f(.*)\.html vb/index.php?page=forum&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^u(.*)\.html vb/index.php?page=profile&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^p(.*)\.html vb/index.php?page=print&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^archive(.*)\.html vb/index.php?page=archive [L]
RewriteRule ^Af(.*)\.html vb/index.php?page=forum_archive&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^At(.*)\.html vb/index.php?page=topic_archive&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^search(.*)\.html vb/index.php?page=search&index=1 [L]
RewriteRule ^t(.*) vb/index.php?page=topic&show=1&id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)\.html vb/index.php?page=profile&show=1&username=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^sitemap\.xml vb/index.php?page=sitemap&subject=1
RewriteRule ^sitemap(.*)\.htm vb/index.php?page=sitemap&sitemaps=1 [L]

The webpage cannot be found
HTTP 404
Most likely causes:
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.
