I have been getting updates on Israel's attack on Gaza, 2 days before report said 450 dead, 2750 injured and worst part, they don't have medicine to cure the injured and even worse, they don't have any food to eat!

I went through few pics and videos, their condition was very horrible, small child who was crushed under construction-material, his image still lingers in my mind.

I think this act of Israel is not justified, although I believe Hamas did wrong, but killing of innocents?
America earlier said it was correct what Israel is doing, infact it backed Israel, now with growing pressure from UN, US is "trying" to act.

    Please share your views!

Don't quote me here, but I believe America is "locked" into backing Israel as part of an international treaty, regardless.

It's a sad thing, but it's part of a conflict as old as time itself; my opinion is, we really don't have the right (and probably don't have the resources) to interfere. We have our own problems to worry about.

To whom are you referring by "we"?
    Are you American citizen?

Well whatever, it's just not fair of killling so many innocents.

    Woops, yeah, sorry. :x

No, I agree with you, it's not fair. But there's a lot evil things going in the world; it tends to make one apathetic after a while. I'm not sure what can really be done without the backing of someone powerful enough to deliver a good effort (i.e, someone with a lot of money or public influence).

I think Hamas is the wrong person this time, but I try not to think about it too much cause I am from middle east and sometimes feel sorry for them but at least in Australia we don't get treated different and we are protected!

I agree Hamas is wrong, but how cruel killing of 500 non-Hamas'?
How cruel injuring 3000 excluding Hamas', and no medicine at all?
How cruel destrying properties, building of a low economy country?
How cruel targeting mosques and other worship places?

Israel has their battle to fight. You must keep in mind that all this started because of the Arabs. If the Arabs would leave Israel alone and stop trying to push them off their narrow strip of land, then Israel would leave them alone. I can understand that Israel is getting fed up with attacks and is trying to teach the arabs a lesson to leave them alone.

i honestly think that both sides are at fault. i haven't a clue on what they should do to fix it since it seems like it's a stalemate.

I think there needs to be a treaty over there. There needs to be a defined border and no army is allowed over that border.
    Edit:
Yes, they are both at fault, BUT, the arabs started it all. I think the Israelis would be content to live at peace if the surrounding nations would let them.

Ok so you believe arabs started it all
    Ok
So you believe killing of 600 and injuring 3000 is well justified for what "arabs started it all"
small children and pregnant women must also be killed for what "arabs started it all"

    Brother,
Quote yourself with those 600 dead

Whoever started, lives are not so cheap!

They have both been in the wrong, but I lean towards the belief that Israel has been in the wrong most often. They treat the Palestinians like crap, so it's no wonder that they're going to be treated like crap in return.

I just hope we don't get involved (even though we technically are; we give 2.7 billion USD to Israel every year, for which they use to buy weapons from us!)

Now it seems Hamas is sacrificing its own civilians for their own cause. They launch mortars from a school in order to have Israel destroy the school minutes later, killing many children, making more civilians join with the side of Hamas

Your location under your avatar says you are on earth.
Well, welcome to earth. There have always been wars and there always will be wars. There is no such thing as 'World Peace'
    Do you disagree?

"Has their battle to fight" ?? We are talking about human lives here!
Would you still be saying that were you living in Gaza/Israel??? I think not!

"arabs started it all"... dude, how old are you? That's the stupidest argument you could ever put up.
First of all, does the word FORGIVENESS make you think any? Especially if you're a christian.
Second, do you really believe that since one started doing bad, the other shall continue doing so till the end of time?

Have you heard of a famous war called World War II? Where the Axis forces fought and murdered, slaughtered and raped, not to say burned and stomped, the Allies, giving an estimated 120 million deaths?

That happened about 50 years back.
Since that the world has changed, and clearly after the war ended it became a better place.
This means that life on earth can improve.

Now we're facing a war in Gaza, and just "accepting it as another war" is, pardon the word, idiotic.
You can always do something about it, especially if you consider it a wrongdoing.

    No war is ever justified.

Yes, I have no reason to believe that I wouldn't say that. So until I do, I'll keep on saying that.

There is a time for forgiveness. When someone threatens your life however, it is time for self defence. In this case, if Israel just sits there, the arabs will learn that they can trample Israel underfoot. The Israelis are standing up, and making a place for them selves and the next generation. You know as well as everyone else here, that all the arab countries really badly want to push the Israelis off of their narrow strip of land into the sea.

Yes, the war improved things abit didn't it. War is a nessesary part of life. I repeat again, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "WORLD PEACE"!

Where do you live? I hope not in the U.S.:eek4:

Then maybe Hamas shouldn't have been firing missiles.

We were absolutely justified in WWII. Hitler (and the Japanese) started it. War is justified when evil bastards threaten your existence. Grow Up!

Well this a very, very delicate topic.

I believe in sionism, I believe that Israel has the right to have a own piece of land and everything, but I mainly believe in the principles of God, and the lessons of Jesus. And that this war, is not new, they have been fighting since biblical time.

But the truth is the truth, nobody has the right to take away lives, because nobody can create life.
I'm not on either side, israel nor gaza, this is because even though I respect israel, I think they had to respond to the attacks with the same amount of fire. they are killing too many inoccent people, and that's not fair for the israeli community that lives outside of israel, because this guy from gaza last time said:
they kill our children, that give us the right to kill their children, they destroy and attack hospitals, and that give us the right to do the same, they kill our people, now he can kill their people that lives not only in israel, but in the rest of the word, (these are not the exact words, but this is the main idea that he expressed) and it's true, sad but true, If someone attact you, you have the right to attack back, and that's israels argument too, and that's right but the thing is that if you throw a rock to me... im not going to shoot you with a AK-47.

I believe Israel is going through difficult times with the international community, and it was not the right time to contrattack with that kind of force.
Even though people say that war has no rules, yes, it has rules.
In vietnam, US didn't attack with all their might, instead, they attack the same way vietnamese rebels were fighting, and that's fairness. Even tough they didn't win or lose, they fought with loyalty. and that's what I think Israel should do in gaza.
Well, I'm just sorry for all the families that lost dear people on both sides, and I would hope that this will end soon, but sadly, it is not going to happend.

I think that the Isreal state shouldn't have been created and they should have never moved into the jeruselem area and inavded.

I am also angry because the UN "failed" to act, when saddam hussein ellegidly had nuclear weapons they acted well then, funny how they arn't acting now.

Right, but if someone threatens you with an AK-47, then you have a right to shoot him if you think he's in earnest. But if someone throws a rock at you, unless it's big enough to kill you, then no, you do not have the right to shoot him.
