MySQL Remote Host (Not Working)

Hello, I'm having problems with the Remote Host function of the MySQL database hosting, I'm trying to add the host 'localhost' as it is the web server of my database but it's not working, it just gives me a blank screen then lists the other Remote Hosts. I hope someone can help with this!

due to the large abuse and security risk - x10hosting's free-hosting accounts do not have remote MySQL database access (both incoming and outgoing from the account) - x10hosting's firewall blocks all remote database access
