I need a smallish banner with a picture of Paul Henderson, a Canadian flag blended into the bg, and some pics of Henderson playing hockey.

Should fit in a word doc horizontally.

No his head is too cut off on the side.

Can you use the second one you made? (the short one) extend it about 250px and make the extended part solid dark red with the text:
