It's an error here. Or, rather, it was an error here that's since been sorted.
I have to point out (for anyone else who may be reading) that it's normal to leave domain renewal to the last minute(ish) because the time to the next renewal doesn't start at your old expiry date, but from the renewal date. If you renew a month early, you expire a month earlier next time - and that can cost real money sometimes, especially if you hold one of the highly-desirable very short domain names. So it's a good plan, but it does kind of hinge on either (a) not forgetting, or (b) whatever notification alarms you have set up going off as planned. Occasionally a company will miss a deadline (it actually happened to Google, of all people, last year, and someone else was able to buy google.com out from under them - temporarily).
