Hi I'm having trouble with my free hosting account, sometimes it works and others it just blocks me out and shows the message below on my main wifi, but if i use my mobile data on my phone the website will load with no problems, This happens even when logged in making changes to the website blocks me out of both

*website name* took too long to respond.

Try:

• Checking the connection
• Checking the proxy and the firewall
• Running Windows Network Diagnostics

Can anyone help me out? Maybe a long term fix?

You mentioned that is on your " main wifi ".
is it possible it happens because of the wifi connection?
do you have a computer that has a more "direct connection"

I also noticed your first post back in january 2020 mentioned
what sounds like the same problem.

Yeah like my sky internet

Not sure everything else is fine, i was on it making changes and then it just goes like that and nothing fixes it ive done all the wfi checks

Yeah the same thing happen before and dont really remember what sorted it really

its possible your ip got banned if you had to many failed log-logins.
or something with firefox might be an issue,
did you try a different browser ?? (last time @Anna suggested that)
as it worked in chrome for her then.

Firefox did something like that to me when i tried certain websites.
my backup browser is maxathon which usually works good.

even though id suspect your wifi is the most likely cause.
wifi isnt exactly the best kind of connection to have.

Requesting admin look for firewalled IP.

Do not use proxy servers or TOR when accessing directadmin. If you have a lot of failed logins via email, FTP, directadmin, etc. you can be blocked, so please don't attempt to log in many times if the attempt fails.

The IP you posted the above from is not blocked. I also checked the last few IPs that are in the log from your logins to our mainsite, neither of them are blocked in our firewall.

The most common reason for connection timeout is that the connection is somehow dropped/lost and could occur if you for instance temporary lose connection to your wifi, but could also be something that happens between your ISP and our server, especially if other sites work fine at the same time as ours fail. An IP block would be more likely to give a connection refused response.
