If a zombie apocalypse occurred and most of the world's population died, and being the internet expert you are, you decide to create your own online message board for survivors of the zombie apocalypse to use. So, how would you set up your zombie apocalypse forum? Also, for this scenario, let's just say that electricity, server hosts, and internet service providers weren't shutdown (but everyone who operates them is is dead and thus unable to switch them off). I'd set it up like this: http://s4.zetaboards.com/Survivor_Center/index/

You can either create a forum for free using one of these:
http://www.invisionfree.com/
http://www.zetaboards.com/
http://www.freeforum101.com/
http://www.aceboard.com/
http://www.ezboard.com/
http://www.delphiforums.com/
http://www.proboards.com/

Or you can just tell us how you would set it up using bold as categories, normal text as forums, and hyphens as sub-forums (with double hyphens indicating a sub-sub-forum, triple indicating a sub-sub-sub-forum, etc.). If you want to, you can also use parenthesis to describe what each forum is for. Here is an example (using the same set-up as the example forum I made):

I hate to burst your bubble, but power plants can only run a few days without being attended to, nuclear power plants maybe a couple weeks before they shut themselves down.
Same thing with Servers and networking equipment. While most of it will run fine for a while, after a few months things start to fail due to lack of maintenance(assuming power was still working.)

The more optimal thing to do would be short wave radio.

Who owns a short-wave radio though? Plus that wouldn't be global.

The whole scenario can easily be avoided by carefully controlling access to and use of Worcestershire sauce in any case. Disaster recovery plans are all well and good, but we always tend to make too many assumptions about what will be available to us after the disaster. An fluid ounce of prevention is worth several trillion pounds (Sterling) of cure*.

*The word "cure", in this instance, refers to disaster recovery measures, and not to the the musical combination known as "The Cure", which is arguably worth at least slightly more (in terms of gross earnings) than any band ever named "The Prevention".

If that was directed my way, I need to ask: what kind of geek (and we're all at least wannabee geeks around here) would be utterly unfamiliar with South Park?

I will fly (okay, I'll try to be a pilot) to Egypt. Search for some book to read (oh, I've to learn how to read) and kill that zombie. oof, hard task.
