Terms of Service

x10Hosting grants use of one hosting account per individual or household. The account holder is responsible for all material hosted on the account and all activity performed through it. Account holders may not resell, store, transfer, or give away any part of x10Hosting services to another party.

Resources include CPU usage and open concurrent processes. x10Hosting automatically monitors and restricts high-resource sites and may enforce temporary suspensions. In extreme cases, x10Hosting may apply a suspension that requires the account holder to intervene before it can be removed. This generally occurs when sites become spam havens and are abandoned or left without moderation. Resource use can be reviewed through the account control panel.

x10Hosting reserves the right to cancel any service at any time. When x10Hosting cancels a service for reasons other than a violation of these terms, the customer will be entitled to a prorated refund based on the remaining membership period. If a customer violates these Terms of Service, no refund will be issued when either x10Hosting or the customer cancels the service. Any incentives provided when the account was opened will also be cancelled. Customers may be offered the option to purchase services that were originally provided as startup incentives. Fees charged on a prepay basis are nonrefundable.

The customer agrees to defend, indemnify, save, and hold x10Hosting harmless from any demands, liabilities, losses, costs, and claims, including reasonable attorneys' fees asserted against x10Hosting, its agents, customers, officers, and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed, any service agreed to be performed, or any product sold by the customer or the customer's agents, employees, or assigns. The customer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold x10Hosting harmless against liabilities arising from:

• Injury to a person or property caused by products sold or otherwise distributed in connection with x10Hosting's server.
• Material supplied by the customer that infringes or allegedly infringes a third party's proprietary rights.
• Copyright infringement.
• Defective products sold to the customer from x10Hosting's server.

Backups are the customer's sole responsibility. x10Hosting retains and offers backups to the customer but does not guarantee that this service will not fail. Customers should keep their own backups. Backups will not be provided to account holders suspended for violating the terms on this page.

Accounts found to be inactive are suspended for 21 days and then removed from x10Hosting servers. The account owner can automatically reinstate an inactive account through the account portal within 21 days of suspension without staff intervention. To keep an account active:

• Sign in to the account portal at least once every 30 days.
• Keep installed scripts and applications, including WordPress, Joomla, and SMF, up to date. This requirement does not apply when using the site builder.
• Make progress toward a working site within five days of signup. Empty accounts that are at least five days old will be suspended under this policy.

Upgrading an account removes these restrictions.

If an account is suspended for violating the terms above, the account holder immediately forfeits all rights to that account, including access to files and databases within it. x10Hosting is not obligated to provide full or partial backups to an account holder whose account has been suspended.

By providing the email address used to create an account and communicate about hosting services, the account holder also agrees to receive limited marketing email from x10Hosting.
