I'm using MediaWiki 1.35 and the VisualEditor gives me the following error: "Error contacting the Parsoid/RESTBase server (HTTP 404)".

According to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:VisualEditor#Troubleshooting the solution is the following:
When the web server is Apache, it must be added AllowEncodedSlashes NoDecode in the VirtualHost section of the wiki (phabricator:T261921).
My question is if this is possible through an .htaccess file and how. Thanks!

I did a little more searching and it could be this instead:

https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Topic:Vt55uu3dvdxrlhop

Changing your VirtualHost config would almost certainly not be possible. Also, x10 doesn't use Apache, so I don't know if it would even work.

Well, after all that may be not the solution I'm looking for. I hadn't followed the link to the Phabricator bug report. It's about a problem with ":" and "/" characters in the title. I don't even know if this is an issue for me because in my case I always get a 404 when trying to edit a page. A new bug report has been opened about it: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T263928
So, if the current problem gets solved then I will if the problem with the ":" and the "/" still exists and then seek for a solution.
