Animated gifs?

So can anyone tell me why animated gifs don't work? The page is viewed fine with it stored locally but after uploading the same page to the web server and viewing the page remotely using the same browser gifs show up static and not animated! The browser seems to be fine but does this have anything to do with the x10 web server? I understand it's irrelevant as things get downloaded first and then viewed using the local browser but I just can't seem to understand why it won't work. My test page is here:

The nexus logo should be animated...

Interesting how when I try and save the logo, I can only save it as a static BMP! It's definitely a GIF file uploaded unless I've gone totally blind...lol

Any help is greatly appreciated...

It's Flashing for me. It must be your browser or somthing.

Has nothing to do with our server.

oddly enough it had to do with the zonealarm firewall i'm using! turned it off and gifs are working fine in explorer and firefox!
