Connection to akismet.com could not be established.

Hi,

I can't enable the Akismet, a plugin to block spam on blog, it says to write down your API key, i have my key and its fine and when i enter the API key, it says:

"The key you entered could not be verified because a connection to akismet.com could not be established. Please check your server configuration."


Also the API key is used to enable some plugins, so i really need to make this thing work, please help me.
Do i need php to be upgraded? I don't know. :happysad:
I hope some one is running wordpress here.

Thanks, but it still didn't work, i see same error, i even registered a new account on wordpress.com and got the new API key, i still get the same error...
