    Comodo internet Security Premium - Best Security software for windows ever. Been using it for more than 5 years without any problems. Contains Antivirus, firewall, HIPS, and sandbox.

    Also, WinSCP is a cool ftp client (part of putty) which has shell extension; you can right-click on a file and "send to" your remote server.

    Jetaudio is the best audio player for windows. There are some paid extras too, but the basic one is free. It's good-enough. Best, actually.

    VirtualBox is a free alternative to Vmware. Best thing ever. Now you can try all your distros without risking anything.

    FreeRamXPPro is the best free RAM tweaker for windows.

    Team Viewer is the best free remote desktop client.

    I can vouch for TeamViewer being a good remote access client. I've been using it to moniter another computer that has some troublesome users lately
