Any site that is "Suspended" on free x10hosting
has a 'redirect' to:

http://staff.x10hosting.com/suspended.page/

click on that link (above) and you get a page full
of advertising - if not blocked by you browser
and on that page is this:

suspended01.png

Before you click on the link to the 'Account Panel' (red arrow)
clear the cookies from your browser
then click on the link and you get with voice-over:
(ad may not be the same on you computer but still a ad)

dose not look like the x10Hosting account panel

and you get all these cookies

So is it HACKED or MALWARE or PHISHING or something else ????

The broken link is a known problem. I don't know why it hasn't been fixed.

The rest are advertising in order to cover the cost of Free Hosting.

It would have to be interference from an Advertisement breaking the link. It doesn't do that on my end but I do block advertisements for my entire network. I did however give it a shot and it did throw a blank page, so I'm guessing something needs a fixing.

What I have found - you need to clear your browser's cookies just before you click on the
link to the account panel - if you just go back and reload after the first time you get a blank page

If you have JavaScript set off - you will get a blank page
If you use 'NoScript' - you will get a blank page

you do not need to click on the link just on the white background or near the link

A Java script on the page jumps on the click (if a cookie is NOT set)
and sends you to:
http://freegiveawayoffers.com/bsk/rf/
Try it...

The link to the 'Account Panel" is broken (bad) and S/B
https://x10hosting.com/control/login.php
Try it...

I think if I had this link http://freegiveawayoffers.com/bsk/rf/ on
my free x10Hosting site I would get hit with the "Banhammer"

#2 x10 page - HACKED or MALWARE or PHISHING or ????

Here is one more x10Hosting page with a link thats not what it says it is
(you need JavaScript set on)

At
http://hosting.x10hosting.com/
You get

When you click on the link at the red arrow (above) you think you a going
to register a domain BUT you get

When you click on " OK " (above) you get

When you click on the link at the red arrow (above) and enter the data they
ask for - you make some spamers day

Here is a link to a post I made about (#1) x10Hosting page with a link thats not what it says it is
http://x10hosting.com/forums/free-hosting/146601-hacked-malware-phishing.html

I think if I had these (above) links on my free and/or paid x10Hosting site
I would get hit with the "Banhammer"

Hi,

I have javascript enabled and see no such issue, as with the previous one you posted. Maybe you should look into a potential issue at your end.

JavaScript AND cookies AND ad-block all have something to do with this

I'm not getting that, and that website isn't registered. Maybe one of the ads is dodgy?

Ever heard of a Pop Up ad?

That's what this is. It's not malware, spyware, or whatever. It's simply a popup ad. It has nothing to do with clicking the link, it's on a timer.

Nothing happens until you click on the link

More testing....

At this link http://hosting.x10hosting.com/ you get this

here is a cut of the code under the link

BUT when you click on it you goto here
http://weeklycontestwinner.s3.amazonaws.com/skpage.html

Could it be that one of the Java Scripts looks at our IPs
sees that we - the three of us - are in Arizona or some place
and throws this link when we do a mouse click ????

I honestly think that it is based on chance. My theory is that there's something targeting links on your computer. For it to be a valid bug, more people have to experience this issue, and I think you're up to three people so far.

I experienced it, in a new window, as a popup advertisement, without clicking the link.

In case you don't understand: HTML is HTML. The HTML doesn't have any javascript function called onclick. It's simply a popup ad.

Good point
So I made a fire under my test computer that has no hard drive (use ram disk)
and a live linux CD - the computer is dry at power on
with Firefox (from the CD) on that computer I received the same site

When I go to this URL http://x10hosting.com/
I receive a page from x10Hosting that has some ads on it - thats OK
BUT
When I click on the link "Register today" which is on http://hosting.x10hosting.com/
(a x10Hosting page) that should go to the same page I get sent to
http://weeklycontestwinner.s3.amazonaws.com/skpage.html
which is not a x10Hosting page - thats NOT OK

When I go to this site http://hosting.x10hosting.com/
it just sits until I click on the link "Register today"

How long before you received the popup "...without clicking the link" ????

Re: #2 x10 page - HACKED or MALWARE or PHISHING or ????

I dunno. My pc was lagging cause I was burning Win7. Probably like 1 min.

I haven't been able to reproduce it since then.

Why don't you use CCleaner and/or MalwareBytes to check for tracking cookies, and also to check for virii. Tracking cookies could be the entire issue here.

JavaScript can still access stuff without the onclick, for example jQuery can use $('a').click()
