How can i do something like in the ad codes for free members where you have a variable in the url with no value? Example:

http://www.mysite.com/myfolder/?variablename

I assume you are referring to this:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://x10hosting.com/adserve.js?konekt"></script>

That is JavaScript and not php. To the best of my knowledge you can not do that with PHP.
