The database already exists error

I deleted my oscommerce folders from my domain and tried to reinstall oscommerce in the domain but it keeps giving me an error and saying The database already exists. Please choose a different name.

what should i do i just want to put oscommerce on the domain i even deleted all the files on that domain to make sure it was empty.

delete the databases by going to cPanel, database manager. Then try again.

i dont see database manager where is it?

cPanel > Databases > MySQL Databases

ok just did it but it still gives the same error

ok it worked no but when i type in my website nothing pulls up but a white page saying this

oscom/

delete the database user and database itself, if that dont work try another name altogether for the database

click on oscom and there will be oscommerce

is there a way to get it to go stright to oscom when they type in my domain name?

you installed in the worong dir but go to cPanel > domains > redirects > then select your website root and inredirects to write yourwebsite/oscom
